3. No other individuals are allowed in the bench area.

4.  Each team must provide an adult or experienced high school student to maintain the scorebook and clock during each game.  Games will NOT start until these individuals are in place.  Failure to provide a volunteer may result in game forfeit if not done in a timely manner.

5. In order to be eligible to participate in the playoffs, a player must have played in 50% of her team’s games during the regular season. The exception would be injuries, which must be reported to the division director for approval prior to playing in the playoffs.

6.  Two technical fouls in a game or ejection by a referee will result in an automatic one game suspension for that individual for the next game.

7.  All technical fouls and ejections must be reported to the division director.  Failure to notify the director may result in additional penalties.  Repeat offense will result in additional suspensions and possibly removal from the league.

Competition:

In order to ensure fair competition and playing time for all participants, the following will apply:

1.  The historical rule for playing time is one (1) full period from start to finish, however, all players should play a minimum of two (2) full periods during a game.  Exceptions may only be granted in the event of illness or injury during a game and must be communicated to the opposing coach and referees.

2.  There will be no backcourt pressure for the first portion of the season.  Based on the progress of the players and teams, the rule will change during the season to allow opportunities to press.  The division director will make the decision based on the input of coaches and other factors.  When pressure is allowed, a team leading by 15 points or more may not press.

3.  Coaches are encouraged to play their less experienced players during the first (1
st) period and at least half ( ˝) of the third (3rd) period.  Prior to the game, coaches are to discuss this arrangement with their opposing coaches to ensure balance/competitiveness on both sides.  Obviously, there will be games when teams have an insufficient number of players to do this, but their focus should always be on improving the play of all of their players and supporting competitive balance in the league.

4.  No Won-Loss records are maintained during the season; all teams will participate in the playoffs.  Matchups are determined randomly and consist of two (2) semi-final games and the final.
